ನಾನು ಸುನಿಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, 30 ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನವನು. ನನಗೆ Hypoxic Myeloencephalopathy ಎಂಬ ರೋಗನಿರ್ಣಯ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ನಾನು ಯಲಹಂಕದ ಮಣಿಪಾಲ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಸುಕಿನೋ ಸರ್ಜಾಪುರ ರಿಹ್ಯಾಬ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್‌ಗೆ ಬಂದೆ. ದೂರ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದ್ದರೂ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಆರೈಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ರಿಹ್ಯಾಬಿಲಿಟೇಶನ್ ಸೇವೆಗಳು ಸಿಗುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂಬ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುಕಿನೋ ಸರ್ಜಾಪುರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು.

ನಾನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದ ಗಂಭೀರ ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯದಿಂದ ಚೇತರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ. ನನ್ನ ನಾಲ್ಕೂ ಕೈಕಾಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೀವ್ರ ದುರ್ಬಲತೆ, ಬಹಳ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಚಲನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂವೇದನೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ ಇತ್ತು. ನಾನು ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಸಪೋರ್ಟ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಟ್ರಾಕಿಯೋಸ್ಟಮಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಫೀಡಿಂಗ್ ಟ್ಯೂಬ್ ಕೂಡ ಇತ್ತು. ನಿರಂತರ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ಕೇರ್, ಫಿಸಿಯೋಥೆರಪಿ, ರೆಸ್ಪಿರೇಟರಿ ಥೆರಪಿ ಮತ್ತು ರೋಬೋಟಿಕ್ ಥೆರಪಿಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈಗ ನಾನು ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಮತ್ತು ಸೂಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ನನ್ನ ಉಸಿರಾಟದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸುಧಾರಣೆ ಕಂಡಿದೆ.

ನನ್ನ ಕೇರ್‌ಟೇಕರ್ ಅಲ್ಫಾರ್ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ICU ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದ ನರ್ಸಿಂಗ್ ತಂಡವೂ ತುಂಬಾ ಕಾಳಜಿಯಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ. Step-down ICUನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಿನಾಶ್ ಮತ್ತು ಉಜ್ವಲ್ ಕೂಡ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತುಂಬಾ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ನನ್ನ ಚೇತರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದ ಫಿಸಿಯೋಥೆರಪಿಸ್ಟ್‌ಗಳಾದ ಗೋಕುಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜಯ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅವರ ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ತಂಡದ ಸಹಕಾರ ನನಗೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಸಹಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
